Unique Wheelchair Accessible Transportation Service for Greater Vancouver Area

KJ Limousine Services has defied convention in the limousine service market with the release of its new wheelchair accessible transportation service, serving all of the Greater Vancouver area. Further information can be found at http://kjlimousine.com/mv1.

Vancouver, Canada - January 19, 2017 /PressCable/ —

Earlier today, KJ Limousine Services finally announced the beginning of its new wheelchair accessible transportation service, serving all of the Greater Vancouver area service, which has been in development since mid 2016. The main aim is to allow disabled passengers in wheelchairs or electric scooters to travel around the city more comfortably, conveniently and safely than in traditional vehicles that have been converted for accessibility…. but it does so, with a difference. The differences come in the form of the company’s new vehicle, the MV-1, a London taxi/cab style vehicle that is built specifically for passengers in wheelchairs or electric scooters in mind.

Hing Jong, Owner at KJ Limousine Services, says: “We wanted to try something new with this wheelchair accessible transportation service. Anyone familiar with the standards in accessible transportation has noticed how all available options seat the wheelchair passenger in the trunk or in the middle of a converted vehicle.. This is a problem because modifications done to converted vehicles alter the frame of the vehicle, compromising the vehicles structural integrity and stability, not to mention the safety and comfort of the passenger. Also, we believe the trunk of the vehicle is where luggage belongs, not passengers. The MV-1 changes this, as it is the world’s first purpose-built accessible vehicle designed a built specifically for people with mobility challenges; not a converted vehicle.”

So as a welcome breath of fresh air, KJ Limousine Services is now offering a new way for wheelchair-bound passengers to get around which will instead seat disabled passengers at the most ideal place in the vehicle; at the front passenger seat facing forward, right next to the driver. KJ Limousine Services chose to make this move because it is the company’s belief that passengers with mobility challenges should be able to ride in vehicles as comfortably and conveniently as everyone else. At the moment, the MV-1 offered by KJ Limousine Services is the first of its kind in Greater Vancouver and is only available exclusively at KJ Limousine Services.

Hing Jong also said “We want to give our customers a better option than what is currently available to them at the moment.. With our new wheelchair accessible transportation service, serving all of the Greater Vancouver area service, they have a fresh new possibility. We want them to feel a sense of comfort and freedom when using our service. Trying something new is always a risk, but it’s a risk we believe is worth taking.”

KJ Limousine Services has been in business for over a decade, being established in 2004. Since its beginnings, it has always aimed to treat customers like family and provide the best customer service possible.

This isn’t the first time KJ Limousine Services has defied convention either. In early 2016 they caused a stir when they decided to stock all of their luxury vehicles with complimentary water bottles of premium glacier water, purchased from a local company which supports a number of charities that benefit the less fortunate in British Columbia.

The new wheelchair-accessible transportation service using the MV-1 vehicle, serving all of the Greater Vancouver area, is set to launch immediately. For more images, video and information about the service and the MV-1 vehicle, please visit http://kjlimousine.com/mv1.
