DASS Test Online Malaysia (DASS 21) Now Available at 360 Wellness Hub Bangsar

The DASS psychometric test is a self-administered screening tool that asks 21 questions to measure the presence and severity of an individual’s depression, anxiety, and stress.

“All of the DASS-21 test items have been found to have a high level of reliability in terms of internal consistency: depression 0.81, anxiety 0.73, stress 0.81.,” said a clinic representative. “Additionally, the DASS-21’s anxiety and depression scale was compared with another popular test known to be reliable, the Beck Anxiety Inventory and the Beck Depression Inventory.”

Each DASS-21 scale comprises seven items, that focus on a primary symptom specific to depression, anxiety, or stress. The depression scale assesses dysphoria, hopelessness, devaluation of life, self-deprecation, lack of interest/involvement, anhedonia, and inertia. The anxiety scale assesses autonomic arousal, skeletal muscle effects, situational anxiety, and subjective experience of anxious affect. The stress scale measures levels of chronic non-specific arousal.

If a person’s DASS-21 test results show a moderate or high level of depression, anxiety, or stress, 360 Wellness Hub advises them to schedule a consultation with one of its therapists. Following a consultation, the therapist incorporates the client’s DASS-21 score into their overall mental health assessment.
